Member of the Diocese of St Edmundsbury & Ipswich, part of The Church of England

The United Benefice of
Westerfield & Tuddenham with Witnesham

We are three village churches north of Ipswich who share a Parish Priest and Ministry team. Administratively we are part of the Ipswich Deanery.

Each church has a service every Sunday. We largely follow Common Worship but we also hold other types of service. We are neither high or low, and we embrace both older and more modern singing. Members of the congregation lead prayers and read from the Bible.  On fifth Sundays we meet as one church with Witnesham Baptist Church (WBC): the location varies so check the diary.

We hold a Communion service at the nursing home on the second Tuesday of the month. In conjunction with WBC we hold Messy Church (an active event for families) three times a year.

Our Lent and Advent daily reflections are distributed by email. They are similar in style to daily Bible-reading notes. If you’d like to receive these please get in touch.

Our Benefice also covers the physical site of Talitha Koum, which we support.
